Rustavi and Gardabani Road Infrastructure Projects Underway

The Ministry of Infrastructure is carrying out road improvement projects in Rustavi and Gardabani municipalities.

The full rehabilitation of two sections of the Rustavi–Gardabani–Vakhtangisi road is in progress. The deteriorated surfaces of the 8.6 km and 10 km road sections, which pass through densely populated areas, have been hindering travel for residents. As part of the project, new asphalt-concrete surfaces are being constructed, along with culverts, concrete cuvettes, pedestrian crossings, entrances to yards and side streets, bus stop pavilions, and road signs.

The budget for both sections amounts to approximately GEL 31 million, fully funded by the state.

Additionally, the complete rehabilitation of the 8.5 km Rustavi–Jandara road is underway. The project includes the installation of a new asphalt-concrete surface, artificial structures, and new road signs.

The budget for this construction work is GEL 7.5 million, with completion scheduled for 2026.
